The Masked Reader!
Who’s that behind the mask! During World Book Day week, the teachers masked up and described a story that made them happy! It brought lots of giggles and laughs as Miss Topping released a new masked reader every day. Can you figure out who is behind the mask?
World Book Day!
This year our World Book Day these was Happiness. Each class chose a book that had a theme of happiness. As well as each class focusing around a book that brought them happiness, have a look at the Class pages to see which book each class chose and the activities that took part in. Miss Topping finished the day with a Zoom worship where she shared a story with us about a witch trying to find happiness, “Mrs Blackcat!”
We’ve been published, again!
Once again our KS2 children have been working very hard to create poetry for the Young Writers Poetry competition. We have been thrilled that children from Y5, Y4 and Y3 have been selected and published in Peculiar Pets. A copy of this book can be found in our school library. Come and have a read!

Published Authors
We are published authors!
Enterprise class entered a poetry competition to have our ‘Monster Poems’ publish in a book. We wrote kennings and were thrilled when so many of us were chosen to be published! Our book is on display in our library, come and have a read.
World Book Day!
We had a fantastic World Book Day. This year our theme was ‘Wait! That’s a book?’ Each class focussed on a book that is more commonly known for its film version. The classes took part in different activities and writing opportunities based on the books.
Nursery – Cat and the hat
Reception and KS1 – Alice in Wonderland
Enterprise – Mary Poppins
Endeavour – Indian in the Cupboard (Toy Story)
We also had a Potato Character competition. Lots of children decorated a potato as their favourite book character. We had so many entries! Mrs Price, Miss Topping and Mrs Leaver chose a winner from each class, it wasn’t easy as they were all so brilliant.
